Hey guys!
Been tinkering with this one for a little while now so thought should chuck a build thread up. Long story short, last year this popped up on a banger page on that annoying social media site. I was going to buy it, but disposable funds were slightly lacking and my mate had the funds but nowhere to store it. Compromise means he bought it, and it lives in my shed. Anyone that has just camped at the Weekender at Goodwood will recognise said friend as the peculiar little fruit in the traffic cone costume.
This is the car as it arrived sometime mid October 22, I believe it's familiar to a few of you on here already. Most excellent automobile.
Does it work? Of course not.
Are part made of weapons grade unobtainium? Oh yes.
Is it rotten? Hell to the yeaah!
Are we gunna save it anyway? Damn straight.
Here at Jayks Broken Car Emporium we adore a challenge any even remotely sane human being would laugh at the concept of. But that's mainly because we're idiots. The car is a LHD 1300, we've since learnt a fair bit of history of the car, which has been great, and I'll do a separate post about the backstory of the car shortly. It's surprisingly complete too, with only a few original parts missing.
I've been talking about starting this thread for a while, and I have now, which means I will try to update it regularly with all the progress so far, which will include many a photo. And if any of you have had prior ownership/experience of the car, or have any source of parts of any kind, we'd love to hear about it!
