Aquatic Jade Green mk2 Cortina 1600E registration PWK403G was stolen from the driveway of a house in Edgware, North London at around 5pm on 2nd May 2023. The car is a completely standard 1600E & was on SORN at the time it was stolen. The car runs rough. The car is owned by an 82 year old gent & sadly was not insured at the time of the theft due to being taken off the road. What is that green thing between the cab and the winch? Quite distinctive whatever it is, not too many black recovery trucks about either...

Also, the truck must be quite unique as you really don't see many tow trucks.

Looking at that door shape, I think it may be a transit. That camera angle couldn't be better - is there a shot taken slightly earlier showing the plate as it reversed up?

Despite the whole wheelbarrow misunderstanding, spec lifts aren't so common these days.
That is quite an individual tow vehicle.

They had worked quickly to try and cover their tracks but so glad they managed to get it back! It's easy to say should have done this and that, but the owner is elderly and quite possibly isn't aware of the sheer amount of old Fords that get stolen. Different generation just aren't as aware of the value of these.
