Nissan VG30 engine, 3.0 V6, for spare parts or repair. Take it all, or select useful parts and leave the rest.
Any donation welcome - need my car boot space back and would prefer it went to someone who might use it rather than the scrap-man.
Collect from West Sussex RH20... or I'll be at RetroRides Weekender (Goodwood) on Sunday
As you can see in the photos, it is partially disassembled and has acquired some surface rust from being stored outside for a week or so.
I have never seen this engine running - it was acquired by me as a project for a youth group, but Covid put a stop to progress and we haven't moved forward with it since. During disassembly we did discover that one of the camshafts was one tooth 'out of time' which didn't appear to have caused any damage.
The engine block contains the crankshaft and pistons, which all turn freely. I'd recommend stripping right down and assessing whether any surface rust has got into the piston rings and shell bearings etc.
Both cylinder heads are present, with camshafts and valves still in place. These would certainly require a thorough overhaul before use. I've not cleaned up any of the surfaces to assess condition.
Other parts included can be seen in the photos - basically I believe it to be a complete engine without ancillaries (such as wiring, ecu or alternator), but can't guarantee that a bolt or two hasn't gone missing! We were quite careful dismantling it and I don't recall any bolts or studs breaking.
