Heres a bucket list car I never thought I'd end up owning..
Whilst I am all about that "racecor" life, building and even forming entire youtube channels about fun cars to drive to within an inch of their life, I tend to treat cars like Pokemon. Gotta catch em all.
As such, I rarely but occasionally tickle into big daft 4x4 ownership, usually with tenuous justification. Previous examples include a SWB Vitara (not a fatboy) because I lived in the wilderness of Aberdeenshire and the snow was a risk, then a Mitsubishi Shogun on the premise that I would be buying cars a bit and likely needed a tow vehicle, yet never owned a trailer. Also, Aberdeen rarely got snow in those years.
Like I say, tenuous.
So recently I was doing the RR podcast with fellow RR waffler ChasR when we were discussing ULEZ cars. Oddly enough, one car that was satisfactory to these requirements was an LPG equipped V8 Disco. It was up for £5k so was a bit rich for my tastes, but eBay being the deviant fuel that it is, I continually got notifications of "Thirsty V8 singles near me"
Long story short, £1300 on an auction flurry later, I seem to now own this:
No, its not LPG. Yes, its V8 and Auto. No, I do not have shares in BP.
