disasterbus that makes more sense... I was wondering how a 19 year old had bought a 2 year old Capri. Here's one we found in a scrap yard a few years ago. No rust to be seen anywhere, but as these are not well known here this is where they end up.

Shame I don't have a better photo of this one... Better photo? That one perfectly represents the car. And more than thirty years later, I'm pretty sure Mel has still got those rear wheels - I think they were on the Black Death last time I saw it on the road.

Think you might be right there, didn't they turn up when we moved the Escort? I do have better photos of that car and several of my other old Capris but all unscanned paper photos

Here's mine (1981 2.0S), back when it was first bought by my father in 1990. Been of the road since 1993. Now needs welding and the rear valance has completely gone. Do love these cars, and I do look forward to coasting up and down the backroads once its done.

I need to get some welding done on mine. It was my Escort that needed a load done last year so the Capri is waiting in the Garage.

I went to the big Speyer Capri meet in 2017 there was so many cool Capris from all over Europe and it was a great long weekend roadtrip/holiday Speyer 2017 Album Here 500 photos[/a] I made a fun little video I also made a video of our (Once yearly) meet at Lincolnshire Aviation heritage centre @ East Kirkby in 2015 Heres some of the 45th aniversary of the Capri at Brooklands museum in 2014 And again in 2014 a once yearly event, some Capri owners would get together and have a trip around Leicester area and went for a curry. Called the curry run

Chap across the road from us has a 280 Brooklands in his garage. I've lived here 26 years and it has never moved or been touched in this time. He has been retired for a few years and was "going to do it up" (like the festering series 3 Landy on his drive). I shudder to think what sort of state it's in.

And a knackered interior. The LSD doesn't work. I bet the gearbox needs a rebuild too. Those last three have been true for V6 Capris for the last 25years....

So not all bad then What about the new tyres he bought for it in1995 and left piled up
