After the untimely demise of the FN2, I needed something urgent times. Found this locally, described as possibly the best example in the country and i have to agree (Externally anyway.) 82000 miles, full main dealer service history, 2 owners from new, garaged for the majority of its life. 4 new tyres, new brakes all round. Seems to be fairly reasonable on fuel roughly 38mpg over the last 300 miles. Not bad for a 2 litre petrol. Boring daily.... Sorted.      Obviously if I'm driving this thing 50 miles a day it needs to look the part. Volvo C30 wheels acquired, quick respray. 2 new tyres. On the car for less than £200.      Wheels have made a rather huge difference. Not pictured is the Pioneer head unit which has given me DAB, Satnav and I am currently finishing a reverse camera install. |

Was getting a lot of vibration, engine noise and general wibblyness. Liquid filled engine mount has done a pop.   New one in, 5 minute job, everything cured! |

Davey, Nice car! What Pioneer radio (type) did you choose? I'm getting tired of the works Blaupunkt Nav radio in my 2010 1,8 Titanium (my winter runabout). Does it support the remote controls on the left side of the steering column? Thom  |

Thom Pioneer F80DAB I've had for the past 5 years or so. www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-pioneer-avic-f80dab_p-33153.htmI have this adapter but for my old Audi, I will be buying this adapter and it should work with this or equivalent pioneer headunits. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/172031680137I will mention that the amount of wiring on the back of the pioneer mean its very much an interference fit. Still struggling to find a decent live to wire the reverse camera too, unless the camera is faulty... |

Yes I am, I have never had a Focus lol. They were in my mother-in-laws car and she asked me to get rid of them years ago when I sold it for her (theres a theme if you can spot it). Golf is getting moved to our new house from storage this week so ill know Thursday if they are still in the boot

Wing mirror indicators replaced for black sequential units. Because why not. Before, clear and very yellowed.  After, looks light part of the mirror.   Before video, boring old flash. After, sequential wave. |

These are quite rare in petrol form now, and ULEZ compliant as well.
It's nice remembering how simple it was to modify older stuff.

Finally got the car out of the garage, I have the ford to din adapter with the connects 2 box plug & box & a silver single din facia. Couldnt spot the steering wheel control cable though (car is full of all it's own spare parts atm)

OMP wheel is in. Very easy swap on these suprisingly. Bypass the airbag with a fuse. No resistor needed.   Lots of country roads between work and home so i went mental and put a lightbar on the front. Currently activated by main beams but will be putting a switch in the circuit for MOT time.  |

I have had two 1.5 Zetec diesels as daily, company cars.
Number 2 getting collected in two weeks, due to redundancy.
But they are amazing cars to live with daily, in my experience.
Liking the mods except the light bar.
Where I live a few people use them as weapons and seem to forget they have them on at night.

Thabks Grizz Its the perfect daily, however interior noise and vibration seems excessive even with new engine mounts. More exploration required. I agree when used as laser weaponry they are a pain. However my 20 miles of deer infested country road driving every night feels much safer. I am very dilligent with my dipping, unless the opposition is opposed to dipping their own lights... They are very aware of their errors now! |
