Don't particularly want to sell this, but its another car gathering dust that I don't have time to use.
Very rare model, only a handful in the UK.
Manual 5 speed 2.0l GSR model.
Low owners, tidy example.
Matching numbers.
Full V5 logbook, big history folder, keys present.
35,000 Genuine miles on the clock.
Never welded, all original metal and panels.
All original paint, some lacquer peel to the roof, and a couple of marks, and the odd blister in the paint, but its all original paint, no filler anywhere, ne dents, no repairs anywhere.
Wood rimmed steering wheel fitted, but original is with the car in the boot.
Full stainless steel exhaust fitted about 50 miles ago. I had it made up with baffles, as didn't want to go down the boy racer route, but is loud - ish, and has a nice deep note.
Has been lowered slightly. Previous owner added bulbs concealed behind dash, so dash all illuminates stunningly when dark. But has no other modifications, otherwise all standard.
Interior is all original and mint condition. Doesn't get much more '70's!
The paint is a real nice bronze met, and photos wont do it justice enough, but really stands out when the sun hits it.
Wheels are period option alloys, very rare to come across.
2.0l twin carbs, engine starts and runs like clockwork, typical Japanese engineering at its finest. Keeps up with modern traffic with ease.
It was last MOT'd and on the road before the ''lock-down's'', when it was parked in dry storage and hardly moved since to be honest.
Happy to get it out and MOT it for the next owner, although is now TAX, MOT and ULEZ exempt.
Very reluctant sale, lovely car, I am a Ford nut, but in fairness, priced against Fords of the same era its a much nicer car in terms of build quality, these were way ahead of their time, and these are a whole lot rarer than any Ford out there, and a whole lot cheaper than any Escort in this condition.
Thanks, Matt
