The scene-tax on anything VW (Crafters still seem decent value but are creeping up) is crazy. I've been looking at Ford/Iveco welfair vans to convert. They are a pretty cheap alternative and have all the electrics, hot&cold water, cooking and loo/shower already provided. Very utilitarian but a low miles looked after one seems excellent value.Cheers!
I do like the fact its not too obvious what it is.
I too looked at welfare vans, and disability vehicles as they have some insulation, carpet lining and diesel heaters fitted, with windows all round, but went for this one as it was a genuine bargain, a 2015 van with 112k miles, mint bodywork for £6800, I couldn't turn it down as they fetch upwards of 10k still.
