This is my 1989 Vauxhall Nova GTE project I've been working on for just over 5 years now, I won't start right from the beginning but I'll give some brief history.
Me and a friend have also started a youtube channel called "Chintz Motorsport", where we are documenting the running and rebuilding of our variety of retro cars we own and use, including a mercedes 190, sierra sapphire, mk3 astra van, porsche 924 and a vauxhall mk3 cavalier so if your interested in watching the videos, please consider subscribing:
So this was the car a few years ago after I'd just about replaced every panel on it, and had it in grey primer running a lightly tuned 2.0 16V Turbo C20LET engine, estimated around 300hp.
I removed the intercooler that I'd fitted, and Installed a chargecooler system
I have taken the whole bodyshell back to bare metal, inside and out and engine bay and done bodywork to straighten it all out, then coated in epoxy primer.
Next onto paintwork, although painting it at home, I'm an experienced painter of 15 years.
Starting to rebuild
Factory GTE Tilt and slide sunroof
Sideskirts and side exit exhaust
Now currently at this stage
I have just stripped the underside down to start doing a full restoration on the underside, as it's the only bit I have not yet done, we will be making youtube videos on it as we go, here is part 1
I will be posting regular updates here, thanks for looking.
