1963 Chrysler 300 2dr pillarless coupe
413RB big block V8 - 3sp Torqueflite push-button automatic
Sat on 15/7fr & 15/10rr steel wheels with babymoon centre caps
Engine has recently had a freshen up with new rings & bearings and is also now fitted with the following:
Edelbrock E-street aluminium cylinder heads
Edelbrock RPM intake manifold & currently 800cfm carburettor
Comp-cams XE268H camshaft & double-roller timing chain set
New gaskets & core plugs of course
Mopar electronic ignition system
High-torque starter motor
Aluminium radiator with both non-clutched mechanical fan & back-up thermostatically controlled elec fan
New water pump
New mechanical fuel pump
Exhaust is a 3/4 length setup I fabbed up in 2.5" diameter with a pair of stainless silencers and turn downs just after rear axle, sounds lovely as is but would be better finished to full length in my opinion(was on the list for eventually)
Exterior is tidy from afar but is beginning to show its age, previously the outside at least was restored/resprayed Black in the 90's with silver painted bumpers but originally White w/chrome bumpers when new
Interior is beige vinyl w/white headlining and grey carpet, aside from the front centre seat having a crack in the base, small tear in headlining and door cards getting a bit tired its a lovely place to be. Sunpro tach fitted to steering column, aftermarket oil pressure & vacuum gauges on lower dash and a bluetooth amplifier in the glovebox powering a pair of 6x9's under the rear parcel shelf
Brakes all stop as they should bar a bit of judder under heavy braking which I believe is down to warped drums which will need sorting soon
Overall the car is far FAR away from a perfect example and does need lots of little jobs doing BUT its a driver and the vast amount of those jobs can be done bit by bit whilst still using it. Car has lived most of its life in UK/Europe and as such whilst not rotten as a pear it has obvious surface rust underneath but nothing serious in terms of repairs that I know of
Off the top of my head the most needed jobs I can think of are:
Heater needs plumbing back in(was told it leaks, never found out where from exactly)
Wipers need attention (passenger spindle needs rethreading & drivers arm a new spring)
No washer bottle or pump currently
Door seals all round
Door shuts, underside of bonnet and bootlid need painting
Original horns need painting & refitting
Looking ideally to swap or PX for a kitcar (Dutton, Sylva, Spartan etc etc)
Any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I also have a few walkaround vids I can send to interested parties
Thanks for looking
