With the departure of my xc70 I had cash in the bank,we are trying to be able to retire in a couple of years so things have to change, my daily S40 T5 is fabulous but £360 tax and averaging 22mpg... So I am going to £135 tax and average 45mpg. Collected last night, newest car I have bought, it's fabulous.  |

These are actually well build cars that don't have many issues. Reliability is very good.
1750 Turbo is a very nice engine. 2.0jtd as well. 1.4 turbo engines have proven themselves as well.
I particularly like them in white or the deep dark red.

i have a black 2011 1750TBi as a daily car.
a bit up on miles and cheap for several other reasons that I'm slowly rectifying. My most modern car to date and I'm guessing that I'm not even aware of some of its features.

Do any of these cars have the shift lights ? It's really annoying and i cant find anything in the menu to disable this "feature"

SWMBO loved hers, she had a white Veloce 2.0JTDM2 170, got to say it was a nice car but the headlights were woeful. It went well in D when I had it mapped for her.

Day 4 of new to me Giulietta usage, time to report.
Headlights are actually a bit better than my Volvo S40's.
Outside temp sensor is reading -2.5 with an ice warning, I'll try cleaning connection first, replace if needed.
Passenger front door will not open from outside.
Driver's door speaker has a vibration.
Probably need a new roof aerial.
Steering wheel controls are hit and miss.
Nothing I can't fix myself.
Are there positives ??... Yes of course there are, I bloody love it, especially in D, also love the way it feels hurling it into corners.
Am I happy with my new car... Oh boy yes indeed I am.

I'm very tempted by one of these for my next daily.. i have a weird love for Alfas..
The one thing that puts me off, and maybe I'm being stupid.. the pedal arrangement, I'm yet to drive one but all the pictures/reviews ive seen the pedals look curse word, odd angle, too close together and no foot rest next to the clutch?
From somebody using it, how do you find them? My current Audi i hate that i like it so much, very relaxing drive, nice foot rest to the left of the clutch pedal etc.

Great fun with the car, eml came on, code read as exhaust gas temp sensor, replaced, fiddly job, not hard.
Dan great for tea hours, eml back on, same code, checked what I had done, connection a bit loose, sorted that, light back out, runs great, following morning eml back... Turns out there are 2 identical sensors, looks like I changed the wrong one.
Soon as I find the other one I'll put the old sensor in. 😒
