After selling my MK2 Scirocco , thought turned to its replacement .
As seen at the RR coffee meet .
I already have a ‘68 Beetle , so being sensible , buying another would be a bit of a waste .
As it was
& how it looks now ! 😂😂
It’s turned into a major project & I just want something to tinker with & enjoy whilst I rebuild the ‘68 .
I have left a deposit on an Orange 1971 1200 base spec Bug .
It’s solid in the right places & with only a couple of changes from original , it’s a blank canvas .
A pic from the ad , it really flatters it .
Hopefully it’ll get delivered next weekend & i can start on getting it back on the road .
The person I bought it from has had it a year & hardly used it , the person before had it 30 years .
So far I know the indicator’s don’t work , it doesn’t run right & the passenger door is almost seized shut .
The rest is hopefully just cosmetics .
