From 1953 - 2001 Don Vesco was passionately involved in racing. He began as a teen with soap box derby cars and ended his career with the World's Wheel Driven Automotive record @ 458 mph. He is the only racer to have held Speed Weeks top time for both cars and motorcycle. He built and drove the first motorcycle streamliners to go over 250 and 300 mph. He is in the Motorsports Hall of Fame for both cars and motorcycles.
