ive got an engine from a mgf, its a 1.8 k series. I'm wiring it to speeduino, and i need some help with the idle valve. It has 2 big wires and 3 smaller ones, i have no idea how to wire it or does anyone on the speeduino forums.
can anyone here help please? thanks

Might be worth adapting the more-commonly-used Ford, BM or Honda 2-wire PWM types into a standalone if the required info on the Rover (stepper type?) is difficult to come by or your board doesn't have the necessary module?

ah yes, i know what you mean and may do it yet but, the arduinjo the speeduino is based upon, stepper motors are one of the first thing you learn to control, and you just buy a stepper motor board like you would use for controlling a motor in a r2d2 or something. Its knowing how many steps the motor does and how quick to do them I'm not sure about, so may use the simple motor if it dosnt work. Having said that, i have a bmw with a volvo b230 engine init, that has no idle valve at all, and it has a 300 degree cam in it. its only when its cold for like 10 seconds i need to control it, so may just go that way first. thanks
