Hello,
if i switch my ignition on (with the engine off), my oil pressure gauge goes upto 20Lb and stays there until the engine is started and then it will go upto about 50LB. While the engine is idling, if i rev the engine the needle will move upto 65Lb and drop back down to 50Lb when idling again.
So the oil gauge is responding, but it's an incorrect reading on the gauge.
It's never always done this, it started happening 3 weeks ago. I replaced the sender on the engine block, which made no difference.. so i can only imagine it's the gauge? would that be the place to look?
I ran a fresh Sender wire from the gauge to the sender and that made no difference either.
Any help will be much appreciated, as new oil gauges cost a £80+ if you can find them.
Thanks
James
