Stunning Consul Capri coupe.
Full V5 logbook and keys etc here.
The car has undergone a restoration a few years back and is a rock solid, well presented example, which has had regular/ occasional use on the road since the build.
Lately it has just been gathering dust in dry storage, but fires up first turn of the key, runs, idles, drives and stops lovely.
It has been fitted with a 205 block 2.0 Pinto and 5 speed box, so is nice and easy to drive, super reliable and is like a 'wolf in sheep's clothing', as the engine/ running gear is from its great grandson the Mk3 Capri!
The car is rock solid- has had plenty of welding in the past, bodywork is nice, paintwork is nice, but there is a slight ripple along the door and few defects in the paint here and there. The engine bay, boot and underside have all been finished in top coat and look clean and presentable.
Lovely interior, headlining a bit grubby, and seats are not the originals, but actually a lot better than the originals ever were in my opinion. The dash is a work of art in these cars, Ford at its best.
The engine bay is nice and clean and minimalist, so battery re-located to the boot, no heater box fitted etc.
Tons of spares with the car, lights, trims, heater components, some glass, interior bits etc...
All in all a very rare but usable classic Ford.
I have just put a MOT on this car for buyer's piece of mind (TAX and MOT exempt).
Drive away, or I am happy as always to arrange transport via my local recovery firm.
Thanks, Matt
