It's with an enormously heavy heart that I post this as it's been in my ownership for 13 years.
I'll start with all the spec:
1.6td Caddy Pickup (converted before I bought it. Shows as 1.6d on the logbook, up to the new owner to change, but never bothered me.
Comes on what I think are g60 steel wheels with Pirelli tyres.
Refurbished gear linkage.
New brake pads and brake lines.
The rear drums have been serviced 2 years ago.
Had full service (oil, fuel, air filters)
Top fill Radiator and Fan from early MK1 GTI 1.6
MK2 GTI seats
Mk1 wind deflectors
Polo GT steering wheel
The rear axle has been flipped and comes with lowering blocks and adjusters.
The fronts are on coilovers.
Original Handbook.
A depressing amount of receipts and history.
Additional parts:
Intercooler
Alfa Romeo Teledial Wheels with wobble bolts included.
Carpets from a MK1 golf.
Original Rubber mats.
Bed liner.
Car cover that it has been kept in, it does have a few rips in it.
The car last had an MOT in 2019 when I had over £1000 of welding done to get it through it's MOT.
Had some work on the brakes earlier this year to repair the brake lines.
I was going to put it through its MOT as it would be worth much more money, but I don't have the time and effort for it anymore. This was always my dream car and it always turned heads and served me well when I drove it around commuting and visiting shows.
Any purchaser must be aware that this car is over 30 years old so there a lot of small annoying issues with the car, so you must be prepared to put a lot of time and effort into it. I'd love to see it put back on the road for someone to enjoy.
I've tried to be as honest as possible with the pictures and descriptions, if you have something specific you'd like a picture of, I can try and get it but you should come and see it.
Looking for £2000 ONO.
