I went for a scan a while back and when the Image nurse (?) looked at my file she asked which decrepit bit of me were we looking at today. The bit where they ask any previous broken bones or metal is the best bit 😂 erm... Both feet, ankles, wrists, an arm, shoulder, coller bone (they normally look puzzled at this point and wonder what I've been doing all my life)... Then any metalwork, when they realise I'm worth more as scrap metal they just tick the box 😂😂

Room for one more? I've decided to just live with the discomfort. Had a cortisol injection which made no difference which really made me lose faith in the doctor. He said I'd be pain free for at month after the jab. Turns out were all nakerd. Tbf it took multiple trips to hospital and me nagging em to finally send me for a scan. Then they went "oh yeah that will be uncomfortable"

Gammmy knee here too, though mine was caused by a football injury when I was a teenager and had to have a plastic knee cap fitted. Cortisone every few months works for me but will need the whole lot replacing at some point No sympathy if it's football related 😂😂 stupid game haha (good luck if you have it replaced, mrs's step dad had his done and it looked thoroughly uncomfortable)

Well the bikes did the damage we think, work has finished it off (crawling round on concrete n god knows what for last ten years).. Strangely the pit seems to trigger it to flare up,but I think because the pits not deep enough, I'm neither stood nor kneeling. And it puts funny pressure on the joint. Hopefully this sorts it for a year or two. Cheers

Where did you source the genuine AFM from ? I didn't. Haha. Import car parts have got I believe denso ones listed as OEM. But there £130 quid ish. The one I fitted was a random spare out the boot. Never took any notice if it was genuine or a copy. If I need one before standalone il chuck a 20 quid special in Cheers

Blimey - I think I can join the club as I've got/done the treble!
1) Knackered knee, luckily fixed through keyhole surgery some years back 2) '98 Impreza sitting in the garage waiting for me to get time to get it back on the road. 3) OH had a 2003 TD4 Freelander from 2006 until last year (written off in a crash, annoyingly only a few months after I rebuilt the whole front suspension!

Steve Must be a certain type of person this forum attracts (glutten for punishment maybe haha).. I'm assuming if you kept the Freelander that long there can't be that much up with em Cheers

So since we've wandered away from the car a bit and realised we all have poorly knees 😂 figured I best stick some pics on so we remember what it looks like. It's earnt it's keep again, took me to hospital for the consent form signing n all that, been to supermarket and been hooned on th back roads home! Be warned there not arty farty pics 😂😂 I do think they've aged particularly well, helped by the fact you just don't see them anymore... I've literally not seen another since I've had this, by comparison I've seen another McLaren today (bright orange and the only noise it was making was road noise).. disappointing 😂 Anyways back on track. More soon hopefully Cheers

I'm assuming if you kept the Freelander that long there can't be that much up with em Cheers Yeah, put something like 120,000 miles on it whilst she had it. She bought it to tow her horse trailer, which it did just fine. It's popular to slag them off on motoring forums, but I'd happily have another. They got a bad rep primarily with the K series 1.8 petrol engine being too weak and overheating. The TD4 ( preferably with an auto box if towing) is fine in my experience. I've towed laden horseboxes out of muddy fields with it. Ok, it had some issues in all those miles (no surprise!) but never once left us stranded. Some things that come to mind to be aware of - if putting new tyres on, always make sure they go on the back if only fitting 2. Saves putting excess stress on the prop viscous coupling. Less of an issue with later models. As an aside, ours was still on the original VCU when written off. Ours ate front drop links every couple of years, regardless if cheap or something decent like Lemforder. No idea why, but they're cheap enough. The window winder mech likes to shred the cable now & then. You can either strip out and get a Chinese replacement, or find one of the kits on Ebay (seller called e-crofting IIRC) to replace with decent stainless cable. Our sunroof also stopped closing. I pulled the fuse and we just used the aircon!

Can I join the leaky inaccessible hard coolant lines gang?
My Bug has started leaking from above the header tank bypass hose off the water pump housing. It’s too big a job for me and I Can’t get it into my preferred mechanic until Feb 1st 😢

You really don't want a boost leak from anywhere in there. Cheers

Tiny little none exciting update. Operation went well, cartilage couldn't be fixed so the gammy bits have all been chopped off and tidied up.. in and out of hospital in day so all good. Was sent home with 2 crutches, couldn't do 2 crutches (imagine a drunk baby giraffe, wasn't happening) 🤣.. quickly down to 1 crutch. Having been stuck in house since Thursday and already going stir crazy, nipped out with Mrs today whilst kids were at school. Picked something up I've had my eye on for a bit. Really wanted a decent wet vac for doing car interiors, with a proper extraction head but still portable enough it wasn't a ball ache to use. Read all the reviews, watched all the videos (told you I've bee bored haha). Was between the bissel/rug doctor/vax spotwash. All similar ish prices (£110-130).. Then like sign from the gods while limping round b&m (other cheap shops are available). Noticed they had the Vax spotwash on at £89!! Justified it to Mrs by saying I can use it on bits in house (and Caravan when it needs it). Didn't take much convincing we now have this!! Really want to give the Impreza a good going over, plus the Audi to clean it up to sell it.. unfortunately since kneeling down is a distant hope it will have to wait. But least i have it now! Hopefully soon as I'm able il get on with something mildly interesting but for now it's rest n re runs of the grand tour! Cheers

I'll tell him to replace anything under there that looks even slightly dodgy whilst the manifold is off. Basically parts are pretty cheap, his labour costs are not Thankfully the boss has let me use the pool fiesta to get home and back for the duration. Heated front screen was nice this morning
