The last time we moved house to something that needed work I bought a Series 3 109 with the excuse it would be used to do tip runs and collect bargains from Gumtree. It did excellent service, cost me time and money, but was a brilliant "asset" for the time it was with us. Having been sold on to fund a newer modern purchase...which itself has been sold on, and us moving house again to somewhere needing plenty of DIY/Garden works, I had another excuse to purchase a suitable vehicle for transport requirements. This brings us to the Renault 4!
Bought sight unseen, from the Renault 4 forum....registered in France....but currently 4hrs drive away in Sussex. It was Shiply'd a couple of weeks ago and i'm still yet to get into it much.
For now i'm enjoying the direct-linkage driven equipment with everything placed where it suited engineering requirements and not the driver. It has suitable patina, plenty of character and age related wear and should serve us well.
Registration documents are with the DVLA, so hopefully it'll be legal soon and I can clear some rubbish!
