Would love to keep this, but running low on dry storage....
1982 Mk1 Subaru pickup.
These mk1 MV Brumbys are virtually extinct in the UK and are only ever really seen in the US or Australia.
This is a genuine UK truck, and is even rarer being the late mk1, and a 2WD limited 'Shifter' model.
Came with 8 spoke 13'' wheels, unique sticker/ stripes package, the rear canopy with side opening windows, the 1800 engine, and none of the 4WD system and gear.
You could probably count on one hand how many of these are left in existence.
Keys present and logbook.
One owner from new.
Needs a full restoration, has a lot of rust in it, but not disastrous. It will need a full restoration, as you can see the usual areas will need fabrication and welding, bottoms of doors, A pillars, tailgate, load bed (pretty decent to be fair), sills, arches, underside floors etc.
Has a lot of spares in it, what you see is included.
Engine is free and wants to go but coil is knackered and would be best to replace service parts and fluids prior to starting. Tank has years old stale fuel in.
The only 2 main bits that I can see are missing is the front screen (the rubber is present), and the rear tailgate for the canopy (easy enough to have an aluminum and Perspex/ glass tail gate made up). The screens pop up from time to time, or are available in Australia.
I am hoping to keep this for myself, and restore it back to its former glory for me personally, but its currently out side getting rained on, so thought I would see if it interests anyone.
Located Hertfordshire.
Delivery available at buyers expense if required.
Truck wont leave my unit until paid for obviously.
Many thanks, Matt
