I am currently building a locost using a MX5 as a donor vehicle. I have taken from the car the whole engine, gearbox, drivetrain, hubs and a few other bits, loom, clocks, bits and pieces.
As such I am left with quite a few components that I don’t need.
I will list a few of the parts I have on removed and if there is anything that isn’t listed, please ask as I may well have it.
Price wise, I have gone purely off of what eBay prices are and then tried to do them a little cheaper. I’ve not done this for every part so if some figures are wildly out please let me know.
5% of every sale via RR will get donated to the board here. It seems only fair.
The car is a 1989 Import in Maritime Blue
Body Panels -
Wings - both pretty rough, passengers is worse than the drivers side. £25 pair
Front bumper - not perfect but presentable - £25
Rear bumper - fair condition £25
Doors - not perfect but fairly straight and presentable - £25 each
Rear uk number plate surround - £20
Boot lid - complete with a spoiler hole bang in the middle - £10
Headlights, blue lids, shrouds and all framework as removed from the car - £25 each
Tail light - Drivers side only - £20
Interior -
Electric window conversion - Everything I can see that would be needed to convert your car to electric windows. Two motors, fixings part of the loom that runs into each door, switch and again part of that loom. - £150
Centre arm rest - £10
Complete carpet set - £50
Complete dashboard - black, no cracks - £50
Seatbelts - £30 pair
Roll bar - Peaks item, no cross in the back, just a straight forward roll bar, fits under a standard roof with no modifications - £150
Roof frame - cover is shagged but you’re welcome to it - Free
Mechanical
Set of braided brake lines £20
Front ARB - looks to have updated bushes but will need a good scrub/painting - £20
Standard cat back exhaust -£25
Fuel tank - £50
