The Cook Report - I remember this actual episode!
Love the 80's and 90's cars and clothing/hairstyles. The 90's really becomes more distinct the further away it is ...
Love the car thief at the start - Great choice of car outside his house too.

Great video. I remember the cut and shut days... there were a few dodgy used car dealers operating near the pub were we used drink that were 'up to no good' let's say. Roger Cook was a fearless curse word. He'd get in their faces with little concern for his own safety.

Interesting seeing that Shogun there, before there were any premium badge SUVs (slow selling original G-Wagen aside), they were popular and desirable right through the 90s, that definitely waned in the 00s onwards.

They were so well specc'd with reliable electrics & a really good looking 4x4, but I can definitely say that they rusted more than anything else since Lancia!

I wonder what happened to the baseball bat guy? Surprised they didn't take the police with them either!
There must be some of these cut and shuts still out there with classic status now 😂

You do all realise that "stretch" limo isn't a technical term describing how they are made.

And wasn't Roger Cook eventually "Roger Cooked" by someone? I've got this vague memory of seeing him on the TV being approached by a camera crew in a cafe somewhere and getting quite erm..... unhelpful!
Mind you, perhaps it was a skit on Not the 9 o'clock news or something.
I'm going to have to go Googling now!
