I don't have much to say about this car, it was formerly my father's until he passed away and, if I recall correctly, he bought it from a dealer who had used it as a courtesy car or something similar.
MOT expires July 2023
Including myself it has had 3 owners I believe. Mechanically it was always looked after but aesthetically it is poor, though there is surprisingly little rust for a car of this age.
It has over 100k, the odometer reads around 6000 miles now as it ticked over. The engine is not original, this was swapped out due to a cam belt failure around 10 years ago with a 30000 mile engine, so there is probably about 50k on the engine as it was not driven much.
The paintwork is bad. Most of the lacquer has departed and, when dry, the car is a sunbleached pink. The red is fine when wet though! The drivers side door was replaced at some stage in its history and doesn't lock correctly, though the key does attempt to lock it so perhaps this is an alignment issue. The drivers side wingmirror is not original and the passenger side wingmirror has the glass taped in. Neither adjust with the adjusters - the joys of parking in London I guess.
These seem to be rare now and I've no idea of value. I recently got it MOT'd with some advisories. The registration is L983 HTF for looking up MOT history.
Ideally it could do with a respray, I had planned to try my hand at this but due to space, time and my own cack handed nature I thought maybe it's better not to make a mess.
It runs and drives as it should, engine is a little rattly when cold. There was previously a fuel leak issue from near the filler cap, perhaps the filler neck, but it hasn't repeated this in a long time, though it hasn't seen more than a quarter tank of fuel in a long time either. I believe it could benefit from a new filler cap as this was quite hard to use when I filled it last.
The wheels are pretty atrocious; rusty steelies. It's definitely a project for someone.
I'm open to negotiation, I may possibly be interested in a PX either way with a motorcycle but really I have too many vehicles and not enough space right now.
It will require a new battery, it runs after being jumped but the battery does not hold charge.
I have uploaded some pictures to imgur at the link here: imgur.com/a/3eRWf74
Edit: It is located outside of both the congestion charge zone and ULEZ, easily accessible from both metropolitan and picadilly lines
Edit 2: text or whatsapp me on 07775762571 if you have any questions. I should also say I have a large amount of old receipts for work and prior MOTs. V5 is of course present and in my name.
