I removed the clutch from the Manta today and noticed the springs have been rubbing against the ARP bolts. It's a C20XE with flat flywheel and Manta 1.8 gearbox. On one spring it's worn through a third of the wire's diameter, is it safe to re-fit or do I need a new clutch? Has anyone else had similar problems? Thank you.

Just checked, the clutch centre is offset so the friction plate can only fit one way.

Hi, Yes traditionally the 'flat' side goes to the flywheel and the spring pack side goes into the clutch cover. Is the friction plate more worn one side than the other?

Its been a long time but I'm pretty sure you have to mix and match the kits, wouldnt mind betting you have a complete FWD kit
