Nice little Fizzer. I think the Mk3 is the best of the bunch. I would say I am biased in that though. There are chrome tapes, I have some to do on my Lincoln Town Car (hows that for the other end of the scale, hey?) but I don't know if theres a "premium" type tape thats better than the tut on eBay. I would be interested to know how you get on. The red inserts for the sporty versions were being repro'd - someone on the Mk3 Fiesta group on Facebook was touting them just recently. I don't know if theres a market for the chrome type. You may hit lucky and find some NOS on eBay or something? Mine is a base Fiesta and does not have such fancy stuff as a chrome bumper insert....

Haha, we just used to overtape it with electrical tape of the desired colour back in the 90s. I did that with every Ford I owned that had inserts as I recall. I wasn't a huge fan of the Mk3 at the time I'll be honest but they have aged well. Like most cars of eras past, such clean and simple lines compared to modern equivalents. Easy to own and maintain too, apart from the grot inherent to almost every old Ford. That looks really well in that colour on the 7 spokes.

They used to be available still from Ford… I used a length to replicate the chrome strip on my Mk1 Polo, as they were obsolete from VW. I’ll have a look to see if I kept a note of the part number
