Looking for advice on converting my 83 Bedford CF camper to power steering.
I’m hearing that a Corsa C steering column will be required. Has anyone done this conversion? What else will I need from the Corsa?
I’m guessing the Bedford column will be cut and shut onto the Corsa one?
Advice, photos, Bedford specific if possible but any advice gratefully received.

You need the column ECU for it and a Magic box to make the ECU think its still in a Corsa. I am quite handy but to be honest this bloke does kits that are first class, Ignore the web address he will do almost ant vehicle as a kit of fully fitted www.talbot-express-power-steering-conversions.co.uk |

Got one of the kits from above on my Vw t25
All done in a couple of hours. Worth every penny.

I've done two myself, one on my Humber and one on a mates hot rod. I used Corsa C columns. If it's anything like the ones I've done you will need a lathe and welding facilities and if either of these are an issue then I would suggest paying is the best way forward. Just had an Impreza rally car with this conversion and its quite good. Can be adjustable too.

a few other potential donors such as Prius, and I recently took a column out of a Nissan Note and have had that working by itself on the floor. I also want to put one in my CF so I'm following with interest. Would be even nicer to have a smaller steering wheel and better stalks too as the bedford switches are all pretty horrible.
