1965 ford fairlane 500
It's got a 289 V8 and a ford c4 transmission.
The reason it's for sale is the transmission isn't working.I can select forward gears but when selecting reverse nothing happens
Imported march last year, all paperwork and fees have been done/paid. I do Have the v5 in my name and 2 sets of keys
Body is straight but the paint isn't perfect
Battery tray as rusted through and a couple of small hole in the front foot wells.
Have scrubbed back and painted to protect them as much as possible
There is a small hole under the rear seat on the passenger side, but it's not been caused by rust (unsure what caused it)
Engine runs, with fresh oil/filter/sparkplugs/HT leads/coil pack fitted over the last couple of months .
Some of the carb gaskets are starting to weep, still fires up but does need rebuilding.
I do have a brand new (less than 1 month old) rebuild kit for it which will be included
I've fitted a new radiator,2nd hand intake manifold with new gaskets,new alternator and regulator and a starter solenoid.
Tyres have lots of life left and only a couple of years old
Also have a new starter motor ( not needed in the end) and a second spare carb for it which will also be included
Seats are in quite nice condition with just a slight tear on the drivers front (under the tape)
Asking £5300 obo
Would consider swapping or part ex (with cash my way) for a fully working kit car, robin hood, etc etc
