After watching a certain type of motorsport DVD last night i thought i'd get everyones opinion on Toyota's tank! Not too many of beasts about these days due in part to the track boys, but what ya think of the CROWN in general? Personally for me its gotta be a Custom Coupe! strange looking, but sexy as hell! Stunning Coupe! Solid saloon!

They are fantastic aren't they! I love the indicator arrangement on top of the bonnet. Those coupes are quite bizzarely styled too - ultra cool!

I reckons they're seriously cool, ideal pimp / low-rider fodder. It's just a shame that other sort of "car enthusiasts" like them so much too....
BTW The one with the crazy illustrations down the side is up for grabs again on flea-bay!

The pick up is as cool as......
Excuse my ignorance, but is it a factory job?
|
|
... the only injury I sustained was a bumped head when I let the seatbelt of without realizing the car was upside down and that's not really the car's fault.

CROWNs? Seriously cool motors, and that includes the last ones sold here in the mid'80s. My mum and dad couldn't stand 'em (they were Triumph 2.5PI lovers) but I always wanted them to get a CROWN. Earlier ones had a small ice box in the boot I think, as well as rear controls for the radio I think. Saw a few in the Toyota Museum in Japan... along with some Centurys (Centuries?) as well. 'Kin fabulous! Oh, and I did get to drive a Century...

Ah! I know that particular CROWN Coupe. It was featured in Classic Cars as part of a '70s coupe feature a couple of years ago. The magazine used my parents' house for the photoshoot, and contrary to what I said about my parents earlier, my mum was rather taken by it.... Just 28 years too late really!

Opel Commodore and Granada Coupe too, wasn't it? *disappears under a pile of magazines*
