After saving for quite a few years and going through the planning process to extend the single garage at my house, it all disappointingly came to a halt when the ridiculous quotes starting coming in, it wasn't a simple extension (underfloor storeroom, the house is on a hill) however, I honestly could have bought another house for what was being asked. This meant I had to look at alternative options. Luckily I came across something 5 minutes from my house. It has power, water and a loo, with a mez level towards the rear. It's just had a new roof but still needs some minor repairs here and there, a paint inside and out to tidy it up, a new roller shutter door and 4-post ramp, benches/storage etc, but I'm happy with it overall. If I remember, I'll try and keep this update over the next few months, it'll likely be slow going (like everything else )

Are you planning on parking aircraft in it? ? If a fighter jet came up on ebay for reasonable money and it was local, quite possibly! How long before it's so full of cars you can't move in there? A question that I have asked myself quite a few times! Only time will tell.

Did I see somewhere on another thread that you have bought this? If so, do you get some additional land surrounding it? Either, looks amazing frankly. What a space to have! Shame that things to fill it up with are some expensive now

Even a bit of outside storage for projects is better than no storage!

Seriously Jealous, around here (essex) that would be classed as Brownfield and you would be up against developers all wanting to build uber houses and willing to pay millions. (They want 10 grand for a leaky single concrete garage!)
