Here We are after a long search i now have 5 Of these . I'm Starting with the 1969 Stanley which i will be Looking to restore this one back to as original as i can.
I Found a collection of these at a derelict Property and After tracing the owner who agreed to sell them all i had to do was get them transported 200 Miles back home
Once i had Got them all back First job was to apply for the log books before i started any work and that has been successful.
So Here it is WLB969G its a 1969 Stanley which was last Taxed in 1986 and has not turned a wheel until Now. Overall it has survived pretty well and escaped from major vandalism other than broken windows and missing lenses it looks quite complete. So far i have found out that the original fleet was registered WLB 952G to WLB 980G, and WLB969G was allocated to Head Postmaster in Nuneaton .
Hopefully soon i can separate the body from the chassis and perhaps look figuring the electrics out at getting it working and some understanding of how it works before its fully dismantled.
So far i have removed the master Cylinder which is a 5/8 Girling unit and the brake hose used looks to be From a Morris Minor item . with a Connector on one end . Does Anyone have any ideas where i could get one of those connectors
