Hello RR.
I'm prepping my brothers car for sale after finding something else for him. It's got a fault whereby a lot of the time when selecting reverse the parking sensor alarm sounds regardless of any obstacles. It's not an uncommon fault according to webinet. I've cleaned the sensors and checked the wiring connections (although not got the multimeter out yet) and all seems nominal. As it's being outed at at the lower end of what these sell for I'm thinking of just disconnecting the alarm and informing any potential buyers. As there is no switch to turn them off I'm not sure how to go about doing it. Does anyone know where the audible alarm speaker is? I may just cut in some spade connectors if it's simple to get at.
I don't mind trying to repair the fault, but as he's buggered off and left me to sort the car out I don't want to spend any more than I need to. I spent four hours valeting the thing today, it was grotty to say the least...looks pretty decent now though for a snotter 🤣
