Has that had new springs recently Dan? My mum had a mk2 Ghia X (best car she had) and it didn't sir that high was only 5 or 6 years old when she got it. Looks well other wise, I'd love a mk2 or 2 instead of my mk3  |

Looks well other wise, I'd love a mk2 or 2 instead of my mk3 She’s done a very low mileage at only 57,000 so I’d say everything on the suspension is very unworn so that’s why she’s sitting high It’ll be 50mm lower very soon 👍 |

Getting out of the Mondeo and back into the Mercedes is Like a different world, sorry Ford people and I’m a ford man of thirty five years…….but the merc is a far better car, but I do like the Mondeo so it’ll stay with me for a while I think

A very busy few days at work, but managed to get off early today and start changing the springs on the Mondeo I think my days of laying on the driveway doing suspension changes are coming to an end, my whole body is aching tonight !!! Only got one rear done , tomorrow Ive enlisted my son to help …..if he don’t disappear off somewhere😁   |

Today was one of those days started doing the other rear spring
And encountered a few problems….and my son let me down to go out with his pals , don’t blame him I suppose we were all young once
But I admitted defeat halfway thorough and went off for a bbq at the in laws instead , back on it tomorrow morning

The rears are in and done, I’ve really struggled doing these, I’ve been lowering cars since my teens back in the mid 80s, but I think my days of laying on the floor doing this sort of work is over , In future I’ll be asking to use the ramp at my pals business
Fronts to do this week, it’s not silly low like my merc, just a sensible drop
Must add a thanks to my wife who came out and helped me today!!
