Had a good result this week , bought a set of eight hole merc rims for just £50 my wife found them through that Facebook thingy Dropped them off to be refurbed and diamond cut today  Still waiting for the springs to arrive 😞 |

As the parts still haven’t arrived, with parcelforce somewhere! Yesterday was just spent preparing the underside for some rust treatment and waxoyl underseal on the floor pan And I found one small hole curiously in a place where I’ve never seen rot on one of these Booked it straight in with my body man to be repaired properly soon also stripped the front grille and painted the insert black Had a another run out in her as well That V6 is a nice torquey engine Can’t wait for the springs shocks and wheels to be ready next weekend hopefully may see it coming together    |

Had a few spare hours today So I cleaned the underbody and inner arches off more She’s now up on stands on the driveway awaiting the suspension change    |

Made me smile when you said £50.00 wheels. For something round with rubber on, that is dirt cheap. But once given the full treatment, including something better than possibly Chinese Ditchfinders, you are possibly North of £500.00 and then when you value the car, the numb nuts who love the look and want to buy it, choose not to value the wheels that make up a large part of the look you created. Who have you chosen to refurbish the wheels? Kerberos Wheels at Medway ? Fitting the same tyres or some spares you have stashed away ? The Dunlops on there seem close to new, unless they are old by manufacturers date. Looking forward to the result. |

New lower profile tyres grizz And I’m using a new firm to me inspraytion in Medway They are expensive. But well known. I found Kerbed Wheels as you have seen on the wheels I did the last few years, to be fast, efficient and price negotiable. They also like to explain what they do in the chemical stripping etc if you are interested. That was on of my S10 wheels getting the diamond cutting treatment. Looking forward to seeing them fitted. Though low profile will surely make the ride harsh once you lowered it as well? |

Tbh I’ve never had any issues with any of my mercs being lowered
They ride so well also I’m
Changing the springs pads for thinner ones so expect a 50mm drop

Front springs in today a real horrible job in these mercs Made a easier with a decent compression tool lent to me by pal Rick Just awaiting the front shocks to arrive then I will change the rear springs, wheels are being diamond cut at the wheel shop Thanks to my wife who helped today always easier when you have two pairs of hands whilst fitting springs  |

Picked the wheels up from the refurb shop today Bit of a mix up as they refitted the tyres I wii be changing these for 50 profiles A superb job, gets what you pay for I suppose  |

Getting there now, exactly how i wanted this one to look Oem merc wheels and just a bit lower Need to get some 195/15/15 tyres now and some 10mm spacers for the fronts to clear the callipers    |
