Brought this for myself to get some enjoyment out of this year, but struggling for space and time as usual.
Morse or less the rarest of the Amazon range, 2-door, 123 GT model.
Very nice example, very original overall with the correct GT extras all present, no modifications, bar the radio/head unit and the aftermarket rev counter (original present).
12 months MOT present, it is MOT and TAX exempt, but nice to know that it sailed through an MOT with no advisory's, rather than just take 'Joe Blogs'' word that its roadworthy, if you know what I mean.
Massive history folder with it, including the original buff logbook, new V5 logbook with only a couple of previous owners, lots of MOT history and invoices etc.
Car has had some welding in the past, but not much at all and is rock solid and very straight.
Rear axle has been replaced for one with slightly higher gearing 4:1 ratio.
Brakes have new master and calipers to the front, and rears pretty new too.
Mechanically has been well maintained and as you expect from these engines, ticks over nicely and starts very reliably. Engine recently serviced and fluids have been done etc.
Interior is in very nice period condition, exactly as it should be, obviously some minor signs of wear as you would expect from a 55 odd year old car.
Paintwork looks stunning in the sunlight, the best colour Volvo chose for a Amazon, in my opinion! Very presentable, but again, its an old car with old paint, so may be the odd mark or blemish here or there, nothing that jumps out though.
Underside is solid and well treated for protection and use on our roads.
Engine bay is very clean and tidy, but at the same time very honest and sets the 'heart' of the car off nicely.
Selection of spares in the boot, including the complete set of hub caps for the wheels, just been left off the wheels to suit both my taste and the previous owners.
