	I am considering taking my father to Circuit des Remparts in september this year. In his later years he has taken an interest as an organiser for vintage hill climb racing in Norway and I thought going to Circuit des Remparts races would be a nice thing to do together. So my question is; has anyone been to Circuit des Remparts and what were your experience? Travelling from Norway all the way to France is a bit of a trek so I would want it to be a good experience

	Yes , multiple times. Its great , the racing is pretty staged but the town and the access to everything is ace. Plus there lots to see locally..

	Tickets bought with seats on the Wilson grand stand for the sunday race Fingers crossed all this pandemic stuff is gone and we can travel without too much fuss. Recommendations on where to stay appreciated

	ChasR did you do the rally for this event? I seem to remember you did a few years back?

	We did a stop off on the way in Villandry at l’hotel de ville which broke up the trip down nicely , when there we stay in a Gite in Verteillac which is about 20 mins from Angouleme , it’s a great road in … Parking in Angouleme is easy , there is a small shopping mall with underground parking , it’s mostly empty and v cheap but spacious and safe . We’re booking the tribune Wilson stand this year ..

Would you advice living outside the city centre during our stay?

	If your happy with the apartment and parking I see no reason to look for accommodation elsewhere, we have the Gite as there’s a load of us is all .

	I've done a couple of things abroead, but I'm afraid this isn't one of them. The trip that I did abroad was the Laon Historique, which was more of a classic car tour, despite having the title rally . It was good fun . I'm afraid I can't comment on but I'll have to investigate Circuit des Remparts . It would be nice to get away.
