The car had sat for 12 years when I bought it on impulse at a an auction with a plan to give it a light restoration and use it as a daily. Well covid, combined with new job, new house & 3rd child about to arrive this spring has put the kybosh on that plan! So the car has go.
Its had £900 worth of welding to underside, electrical gremlins chased down, and a load of spare parts procured (they will come with car).
Car bodywork is reassuringly rust free - just some minor bits to catch before they become an issue.
The interior is cream leather & in good condition although the headlining is sagging & wood veneer to dash has peeled. Both will need attention.
All in all this is a fantastic car for wafting along the highways and byways of this green and pleasant land - the big old German V8 bringing the horizon up close & personal with a gentle tap of the right foot. Effortless charm from this 80s icon.
