[quote author=" thebaron" It's a great view. That view - just WOW! Where is that please? It's the Bohl viewing point - Bohl, 6423 Schwyz. Outside of the fantastic natural beauty of the place there are also a couple of other cool things to see in the photo. Middle left in that group of buildings is the Victorinox factory. It was founded here and they are still in the same location. There was not much I wanted more than a "real" Swiss Army Knife as a kid and it still tickles me every time I pass by the factory. Also, you are looking at the area (well most of it, it continues a little back to the right) where the beginning of Switzerland occurred in 1291 with the Federal Charter / Alliance of the 3 Kantons or Schwyz, Uri and Unterwalden.

I was out for a spin in the Speedster last night. I really thought I had put no miles on it in the last year and the odo reading prompted me to take a pic. I checked back and it seems I passed 170,000 in August last year and I surely added some distance after that in the autumn. I think best case I've only put 1000kms on it this year. That's not great from my perspective so let's see where it goes from here. In other news I went for a huge hike in the mountains on Wednesday. It was great to get up in the sky for a few hours. Have a couple of pics, from the bottom and the top.

nice pic at exactly 10,000 are you tempted to add a cherry to your cake ? My first thought was of course that I could do something with that but no, it is space that is my enemy at present. I'm in the humour for something a bit larger and more of a cruiser that I can take the whole family out in. 70's Mercs and Jags are being perused a lot at present. Of the current 5 car fleet 2-3 will have to move out first before anything else comes in.

Space is also my big problem at the moment I may have to rent a garage before I part with some more of my money

The perks of a new car continue. Toyota Switzerland invited all GR owners to come and drive one of the short special stages of the Rally du Valais last Thursday. In like flynn and I rounded up a posse of 86 owners to come along. So many GR Yaris' there it was incredible. Smallest representation unsurprisingly was the Supra. It was wet and narrow and muddy so it was obviously an absolute blast. I really need to get back Rallying properly. Hopefully the event will release some action shots but have a few pre-event snaps. Free GR hat and 2 bottles of wine after the event as well. Magic!

more amazing pics, thanks for sharing them Of course. It's my pleasure. A number of small jobs going on at the moment with the fleet. It mostly revolves around winter tyres and the winterification (clearly not a word) of the vehicles that will be asked to deal with it.

A few more pictures from the trip to the Rally. Then a snap with an absolutely mint early GT86. It really was in fantastic condition.

It is with a heavy heart that I've officially put the Speedster up for sale. The hard facts are that it's been a tough year and the books need to be balanced. The supporting situation is that I just have not driven it much in 2023 at all. I've mentioned it before but to re-iterate I only put about 1000km on it this year. I've no interest in owning or collecting things that I don't use. I'm an anti-hoarder as it were. With both of the above taken into account it's just a luxury that is a stretch too far at the moment. If anyone is actually interested in this let me know as I'm happy to give it one last big roadtrip and deliver it across Europe

You know what, the decision to make the decision was the hardest. I was avoiding the elephant in the room for the longest time.
Once I boiled it down to the hard facts that I need the cash AND I'm not driving it anywhere much as I was it was quite easy.
It helps that we got over a foot of snow during the weekend and the chance to drive an open topped car with no LSD, reliable heating or winter ties has gone until April/May.
I don't think I'll feel the pain really until next Spring is in full flow.
