Afternoon All,
I seem to recall that there used to be a brake hose supplier on here who could make hoses to order? Are they still lurking? If not, can anyone recommend someone to make up some hoses for my beetle please?

Find a local Zimcraft, Pirtek or similar hydraulic hose place, take old lines in as pattern.
Whereabouts are you?

Another vote here for HEL! They were lovely to deal with for the 6 lines on my Granada, very nicely priced, can do a range of colours if that is your thing. And the fittings are all stainless steel too!

You can buy the bits to make them yourself from companies like Rally Design or Car builder Solutions. Doing that means you can make custom ones like Mini clutch hoses, that screw into the slave and banjo onto the master cylinder to make fitting them much easier. Cheaper than a new rubber hose too

My understanding is that the non-swaged ones (ie the rebuild able ones) are not technically road legal for brakes. Never found MoT tester that notices though….

Cheaper than a new rubber hose too I was looking last year - and just buying the fittings for one hose cost more than having two hoses made.

I've had HEL braided hoses on the Manta for 7-8 years, good quality and still look good.

Another shout for HEL.
Their ends are brilliant. Not only are they Stainless, they also allow movement, meaning that if you have a sticky union, the hoses can be easier to install.
HEL can make a set of hoses up if required for you.
