Over the last couple of weeks I've done a lot of time consuming detail work. Like filling the cowl vent, etc. And other things that don't really show well enough to post about.

But they all had to be done before I could take it to my buddy who will paint it. And that happened today. So this is its new home, for now. And waiting for me was this. So that came back with me. So I can get going with it. forum.retro-rides.org/thread/222311/1932-ford-5w-coupe

Loving this as always.
I have a spare cowl vent section (removable) for my 66 C10
Plan is to weld it closed and then to use either diminishing size dimple dies with a mesh backing, or one size, but two sets of 3/4 holes and fitting that to the cab.
Little touches to male it more personal.

Short version of the conversation I had with my buddy. -"Do you want to take the front fenders off?" -"Nah, that would lead to taking the cab off, and that is farther than I want to take it. ........ -"Can you come over? The Blaster will be here tomorrow, and he can blast the underside of the fenders if we take them off". _ OK, but we are not taking the cab off... " ...... _ "You know... Now that the fenders are off, its only 4 more bolts to take the cab off..." _ Damned... OK... Lets see if the blaster can do the underside of the cab and the bed too, so they can get a coat of bedliner for stonechip and sound deadning... He is right... I know... ( we are really good friends and we are just messing with each other... )

Fast progress with the right tools.
Dry air probably helps.
How did the floor and any notorious trouble spots come out?

Its in really good shape.
We found a couple of little dents that were hidden under bondo & paint, and 2 small rust spots.
These were the things I didnt notice when I did the repairs, the last couple of weeks.
So I'm really happy with the condition of it.
Still needs a bit of work, but for a 62 year old work truck its not bad at all...
The blaster has a bit more work to do, so we'll see what it looks like at the end of the day.

Because the '57/'60 is the least favorite favorite truck of the early Fords, there isnt a lot available for them ( compared to other years)
For example, there is a lot of play on my hood hinges.
You can buy new repro hinges for all the years prior to mine, and after.
But not for the '57/'60.
Same for a new grille shell ( I'll have to get mine rechromed )
And some sheetmetal.
I built the bed out of 3 original damaged beds ( partly because it had to be modified )
So all of the original parts that survived make things a lot easier...

Tidy Tidy Tidy But then we expected that ehhh. Are you being afflicted by this weather seen elsewhere? Seems a bit chilly. We just have a lot of rain right now it seems, though other parts of the UK seem a lot colder.

Its freezing at night, but during the day its fine. We do get snow in Southern Arizona sometimes ( last week a little bit, but as soon as it hit the ground it was gone) A couple of years ago we had a bad cold snap that did a lot of damage to everybody's plumbing ( long lines at the hardware stores for plumbing supplies), but that is rare. This pic is also from a couple of years ago.

1st layer of primer has sat and cured, and then blocked.
2nd layer of primer has been sprayed on.
We ordered the paint for the topcoat yesterday.
