Family round yesterday, and SIL asks me to fit an aftermarket gear knob to his Freelander 2, one that he bought online from a company with a very similar name to a rainforest.
No problems says I, nipped the old gearknob of, and the new one has a variety of plastic inner sleeves, held in place by three 3mm grub screws.
Except the supplied Allen key with the kit is 4mm!
Made me laugh, but if you're going to supply tools with a kit at least make sure they're the right one! 😀
Funny thing was, when I looked in the cheapo Allen key kit I keep in the house for jobs like this to get the correct one, my 4mm key was missing, so now it isnt
