Site is a bit slow.
I was looking for some pics to get something chatty started.
Got all the way back to this trip.
Such a pity Photobucket polluted out accounts with massive banner overlays.

no way, I've only got through the first few pages from 2007 but found this really interesting, I've been to SA a couple of times as have family out there. seeing the same places you went is so strange, I've got photos which are pretty much identical only ten years later, like the cars at Loramins.
edit: ok the photo upload isn't happening, I had some nice photos of cars to share...

Very tedious link to the thread I admit but memories came flooding back of moi at the age of about 12! I was "lucky" enough to have known the then owner of a Shell Garage back in the mid 70's who gave me the job of a Saturday morning petrol jockey for which I received 50 cents for the mornings work It was great fun wearing my grey Shell overall which was probably too big for me but do remember the lesson of not getting leaded petrol in your eyes the hard way! Anyhoo, the garage has long gone but the buildings less the canopy are still in use. This was in an area called Kabega Park, Port Elizabeth.

Interesting, if you look at the pic, take note of all these dailies. No it a new car in sight. I lived in Rowallan Park, next to Kabila park, where I went to school in 1972/3 Great time of my life.
