Born from a 2001 Mazda MX5 1.8 5 Speed.
The donor vehicle was a Jasper Conran special edition which had a limited slip diff as standard.
Engine hasn't been uprated however it is quick in this low weight format, sounds incredible and is unbelievable to drive, road or track
LED headlights are currently being removed for dominator twin headlights that will look much more sporty and less bug-eyed.
The exo-skeleton chassis was manufactured to order by MEV Ltd, as were all GRP panels, floor is alloy as is bulk head at the front (plastic rear)
The two-tone leather seats in the pics were from a mk2.5 mx5 but I have now fitted GRP MEV racing seats. It has a welded rack for crisp steering and a customer stainless exhaust that sounds throaty.
The wife hates it and won't even sit in it but I love it, you need to wear a helmet though at any speeds above around 40mph.
I am toying with the idea of taking it on some track days next year to see what the car and I am made of....!
