Heavy hearted sale, been my project for 5 years, but time and money constraints have become prohibitive for me to continue; it's better someone else finished it off than I let it languish whilst I delude myself how "I'll get round to it". It's 85% finished, the hard work is very much done, it essentially needs sourcing the few missing parts (radiator, prop, filler cap, both rear quarter chromes trims etc), finishing the wiring, building the engine up and assembling. Brief rundown here, as I'd rather serious interested parties contacted me directly if they wanted details and pictures (can send hundreds of snaps taken before, during and after the following work). There's a big background to this project for me and it's been a massive part of my life over the last 5 years, but if you want to know more best to call or text me. Too much to list exhaustively, but in brief:
Californian 1963 2 door sedan, imported 2015 (I think, can check), NOVA and California Title present, factory 6 cyl but had V8 swap before it was imported, all steering upgraded to 1963 V8 spec, now rust free after I have done 100's of hours of fabrication replacing the front floor pans and LH rear quarter. These areas are not bodged (for example, I spent over a year making a bead roller to roll the beads in the floorpan to replicate the factory beads, and the paint sprayer struggled to tell the rear quarter had been replaced), 8" 1966 Mustang rear axle with Trac-Loc and 3:1 gears, 14" steels, B&M shifter and cable, new sound insulation, refurbished heater with reconditioned matrix, all new brake cylinders and hoses all round, new master cylinder, new rod ends and ball joints, custom aluminium battery box, new EZ wiring harness partially fitted, new Sachs shocks, engine bay in 2k satin black, new freshly painted fuel tank and sender. Probably forgetting loads. The car is rolling, just waiting for the engine and box to fit and wiring to be done. Interior is all there, carpet is fitted but seats are still out to make wiring easier.
Engine stripped but consists of early 90's roller cam 5.0 ford, freshly bored +.030", DSS forged pistons, -.010"/-.010" ground 2MAE crank, forged I beam Eagle rods with ARP bolts, GT40 heads with Alex Springs upgrade kit, TFS stage 1 cam, Edelbrock Performer dual plane intake, 650 Holley with rebuild kit, chrome sump, all new gasket set, new oil pump and uprated drive shaft, ARP head bolts, Clevite 77 bearings throughout, Ford Motorsports roller lifters, new core plug kit, front cover, new Comp Cams timing chain, new water pump. Basically everything to build the engine is there besides cam bearings (one is shot), damper, flexplate, heads still need skimming (can be negotiated) and rotating assembly needs balancing.
C4 fully rebuilt with new clutches and Kevlar intermediate band, Sonnax intermediate servo, B&M shift kit, new seals used throughout.Fully documented with pictures and clearances recorded. No converter or flexplate.
Looking for as close to £10,000 as I can. I may be willing to sell engine, gearbox and rolling car separately. Owes me more but such is life. Silly offers taken as an insult. Easily a £16k+ car when done, I'm just not the person to finish it.
