Here are a few pics of the restored suspension setup... Front is basically a complete Satchell setup, uses a modified GTi subframe (which we modified again since these pics to clear the box), with a nos PAS rack. Front hubs are Pug 406 with 50mm bump steer and roll centre correction, Satchell rose jointed steering arm ends welded to new 309GTi steering arms, and custom rose jointed satchell wishbones Front inserts are 50mm bilstein tarmacs The rear is where it really gets interesting. It's a one-off setup base on a toyota corrolla wrc setup. Toyota rear beam modified to mount 4 parallel arms and two trailing arms mounted inboard forward of the front wheels. Not sure what the hubs are but they are pretty small, all rose jointed except for the lower hub trailing arm mounts. Rear shocks are avo with custom lowwrs to fit the hubs. Note the car does not run anti roll bars with the suspension and spring rates setup to account for that. Down the line, I may upgrade to 2 or 3 way shocks with remote reservoirs. I dropped the hubs off today for their custom brake adapters and bells. Running AP Racing cp5200 with 330mm x 28mm front and Sierra Cosworth 4wd rear (287mm vented i think) - everything brand new except the ap calipers (because they would have been £££ and found a good used set for comparative peanuts!)

Did you sort the roof welds out before you put the new roof on? I think you mentioned it was a Custom Cages / Satchell shell? They've both been guilty of sub-standard welding..
Also recommend Flickr if you're a mobile user.. imgur isn't the best for embedding images, as you can probably tell!

Apologies if they're not quite in the right order! Well done mate excellent work. Advice on how to do that for my next post please? Have more pics When using IMG, go to the photo you wish to post. There will be three dots in the top righthand corner, click that and select "get share codes" then select the BB code (for forums), then copy and paste the code into your post Regardless, the 205 looks totally mega!

Good lord this is a cool car To get the photos to come thru set out the link like this Tried it, doesn't work. I've had a few goes at this now, I can't get it to do anyhting other than post a link. The imgur app is utterly rubbish. I tired the Flixr app before Imgur, it's even worse, the app does not work on my phone and cant upload more than 1 picture at a time via laptop. Getting rather annoyed about this now tbh, bah!

If you're using a laptop on Flickr then I found it best to use the Internet browser rather than the app (which is meh) It's then one click to get the Bb image link. The Web one let's you upload huge amounts of images in one go. It's what I use for my threads. Loving the 205, and the new floor is a work of art. I wish we had more rally build threads on here as rally fab work is often a joy to behold! Looking forward to seeing this running.

Fuel rail modified for AN6 fittings, have an Aeromotive FPR Rocker cover modified with 2 AN10 breather fittings and aluminium oil filler to replace the horrendous and leaky vag plastic cap Carbon fibre ECU mount, which actually was an ecu mount from a single seater Formula car Engine shiney bits/piping/filter/header tank

Are you planning to mount your centre pipe to the shell with rubber bobbins?

Are you planning to mount your centre pipe to the shell with rubber bobbins? For the time being yes. Exhaust wasn't finished in that pic it has extra bracing and another mount now.

I've not been interested in rallying for many, many years but have to say, that is a beautiful looking car, I think it would equally make a devastating road car, Stunning and bookmarked, Nigel

That's beautiful, nice work tidying that up and making it as good underneath as it is on top.
Will look out for the updates.

Has to be one of the best (in my opinion ), cars on here. Love a wide body 205. I bought one last Sunday, not quite up to your standard though.
