Hello all! After 9 years almost only owning classic Audi’s it was time for something totally different. I was not very sure what i was searching, it had to be something special and totally different. i went to have a look for a Mazda MX3 V6, but that one was in to bad condition and to high mileage. After that i went to a local guy who had a Peugeot 405 MI16 for sale, but that one had to much rust and the paintwork was to bad for the price. back on the hunt on the WWW after that visit. then i found a Opel (Vauxhall) Calibra that was for sale at a dealership 200kms away. It was a nice red one with only 138000kms (86 000miles) that was storaged for 10 years. took a day-off and drove it home! 1991 Opel Calibra 2.0 8V 100% original    imported it to belgium and new MOT for 2 years. bought a set of 3-piece MOMO R3 sheels from 1991 and mounted with new Hankook tyres.   Eibach 30/30mm lowering   White cluster and white gauges and NOS Opel sportsteeringwheel  Brandnew Lexmaul Bag of snake exhaust manifold  irmscher inlet manifold  |

Bought a set of Recaro CT seats from 1991  the interior will be reupholstered with this Pepita fabric in combination with Nappa leather.  new exhaust from Fox.   |

Haven't seen a Calibra in years. You bagged yourself a very nice one! Great mods too. Congratulations! Proficiat met de Calibra(woon ook in Belgie😉).

I always thought that Vauxhall / Opel hit the nail right on the head with the Calibra, it was / is a very attractive car,
I'd have one in a heartbeat,
You really do look to have found a beautiful car there and all the modifications you're doing only enhance that,

Always liked these and the 8v is the best engine for trouble free motoring. I have seen numerous ones run over 250k without bother.

In the meantime, I've been busy refurbishing the engine compartment and major maintenance; -New timing belt + water pump -New V-belt steering pump -New V-belt alternator -New starter motor -New valve cover gasket -New oil filler cap -New spark plugs -New spark plug wires -New crankcase gasket -New coolant reservoir -New oil + filter -New fuel filter -New air filter Valve cover and cylinder head made shiny. The block has also been sprayed. For; (Already with spaghetti manifold)  Now   Still to do in the engine compartment; -install spaghetti manifold in packs in the heatwrap and back -Mount Irmscher intake manifold In the meantime, the interior reupholstering guy is also doing well, I expect it to be completely ready next week. Anyway, a small impression here;  |

When I was a kid my I wanted a Calibra SO BAD! I thought, and still do, think they looks so good. Can't wait to see the finished interior.
