took 2 attempts to pick up the car from the auction sight since the missus and her step mother decided to grab a coffee after her doctors appointment which was at 11:20 we left like one hour after that for the 189km trip into the melbourne traffic, only to find the operating hours had changed from 8:30 to 3:30pm even though the email said 9-4pm. so we drove home and left before 6am today to get there at 8:30am, one of our main issues was the gps decided to get us off the main highway and into the suburbs and dragging the first day out a bit. in its final resting place it had a slight wobble in the steering at 100km/ph but not horrible unfortunately the front cross member is alloy and not suitable to chopping down measuring the 2 cars the falcon is 33"(bolt holes looks 34"ish) between the inside edge of the rails and the dodge is about 25" with much wider rails but not overly square since the spring mounts go through it.

Made a mould of a tail light out of what seemed to be the worst wood possible which tore as soon as drilled a 3mm hole to mount the last piece . Then I realised it should be slightly bigger the what's needed so it can have any imperfections polished out.

Got stuck into reading this www.allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=14068&page=124The guy is amazing with metal but the turn out of his tail lights made me change my mind about casting.

I bought some slightly over sized clear lenses from temu and as it turned out they fitted perfectly I bought 4 and was going to try turn them down but the fit looks fine like this so I'll just make an adapter.

Had to drill the lense holes out to 5mm the 4mm screws were just to tight in the holes. And and an extra hole in the housing so I didn't have to shorten the the screws after that the lense sat down perfectly.
