Long time lurker first time posting. So two weeks ago I purchased my first chrome cover classic a 1956 Australia n assembled dodge Kingsway custom for the oh so right price of $1300, I was the only bidder for the eBay auction. The price kind of gives away the condition no floors no sills motor or gearbox and definitely no wheels. photos.app.goo.gl/LhyE5NZ1uYZ6V5RQAI'll have to find a photo sharing app any suggestions.

The forum hosts images internally. You can upload them in desktop mode on a mobile device. Interesting project! Good luck with it!

This is going to be interesting never heard of one of these before, the corrosion looks strange, upper body and things like around the headlamps look like just light corrosion yet the lower parts are really bad, has it been sitting in a swamp or something?

its going to be changed to a late model ford falcon running gear bara non turbo are under a grand for a complete car from the 2 main online auctions apart from the 30% auction fee and selling all the body panels shouldn't cost to much

It was meant to be a barn find by the previous owner but it looks like it was in flood more on the passenger side, I think it was stripped out a bit for a DeSoto.

Did I hear someone way in the back faintly murmuring Barra Turbo? Not sure how much they are going for on the auction site that had 2 of them they don't leave them up Although I did buy one with bad bearings a good few years ago I guess it's hiding in another car.

This is the template I made for the outer part of the sill or rocker, the band wouldn't do that bottom corner for me this was also round 2 for the template. I'll try against the car some time this weekend the try and get some quotes for it to be fabbed at a local shop. Forgieners are now band at work and 68 inch long sills are hard to hide in a lunch bag.

Wondering if the tail lights are on it.

made a new sill template with the full width of the squared of section, after trying to guess a basic shape from photos after leaving the original template at home. but the rhs I used to shape it over made to large of a radius.

Made a frame to press into the inner sill, will need to square it up make the inner bits from scrap tomorrow then weld it to some heavy plates.

Welded the X peice to some C channel and then gave it a crack in the bench vice. The piece was 1.5mm thick and the vice didn't press evenly but it still looks like it will do the job. Might be better under a ram or a hydraulic press just need something wider for the top part.

Just bought some sides from a scrapped computer server cabinet unfortunately the metal is only 1mm thick so not really good for the sills, but should make ok floors and lower door skins where needed and the transmission tunnel.
