	Hi, I'm looking into building a new garage early next year that’s going to be 30 x 15 x 8ft. I'm looking at two options one being a concrete garage that will need an 150mm concrete base and another from 440 x 220 x 100mm concrete blocks that will need a foundation. On the block garage I will be doing the roof myself so just the shell is needed for now I'm trying to find out roughly from what other people have had done so I can get an idea of what to expect 1, To make a strong concrete base 150mm 2, To build from blocks excluding the roof and I will supply the doors and window. Thanks

	Not sure exactly what you're asking? How much it will cost? Do you mean 150mm concrete slab for the floor and concrete blocks for the walls? That's one option not two??

	I think the OP is inquiring into the difference between pouring a raft slab for a prefab type build, or a more traditional foundation arrangement for building with concrete blocks. Either way you will end up with a slab of sorts by the time the floor is complete, unless you plan on a block built garage with a hardcore floor in it (as per the lockdown lockup currently) but you need a concrete floor in all honesty to make it usable. So id think the costs may be slightly more expensive to do a found over a raft slab but it will be minimal
