We attempted to install and run our brand new motorhome Chinese Diesel Heater. However, it turned out to be a big failure on the part of the diesel heater unit manufacturer. The unit threw up a less common error code E-09. Someone has tipped me off to the fact the diesel heater internal plastic housings are not properly aligned from the factory. Sure enough, I took a closer look and he was right ! He said he has had exactly the same problem that I have. We will see if the casing re-alignment cures the problem.

I have the same one in my camper, apparently to keep them running at their best, run them at full blast occasionally.

Why would you bother messing and fixing it, just get them to send you one that actually works! After all you paid for a working one not a project.

I just bought one to heatup the workshop over the winter not tried it yet as I'm still deciding on a power supply solution
But id be sending it back/contacting them for a partial refund at minimum

Why would you bother messing and fixing it, just get them to send you one that actually works! After all you paid for a working one not a project. Its a good point. But had read that a lot of people are getting problems with their new heaters at the moment, mainly from one certain suppler though. I had heard that the repair was simple, so decided to have a look into it, rather than box it all up and send it back. Also, I had already cut the end off the 12v wiring, and that may have caused an issue on receipt by the supplier. |

Following on from our last diesel heater repair, we now carry out THREE modifications to the heater including TWO mods to make it almost silent running and certainly one of the quietest diesel heaters that you will find. Three simple modifications, including a modification to the exhaust pipe and one forming an effective pump silencer.

I may have missed it but which diesel heater or which supplier did you get that particular heater from and would you recommend them

I ordered mine from China, first two didn't turn up Paypal refunded, lat one arrived no problem, bought one last week and its not arrived yet! It can be pot luck with some of the Chinese sellers as they can get lost in transit or bought in customs etc

I bought one of these Chinese diesel heaters for my workshop (when it’s finished) I bought mine from Amazon first thing I did when it arrived was to test it out, that 45 gallon barrel is full of red diesel

Can these heaters run on domestic heating oil.
Also can they be set up to kick in on a timer?
I did plan a log burner for my lockup / office but one of these badboys may be a cheaper and easier alternative.
