Yes I realise that makes me look a bit mental!
I have unearthed a pair of brake discs which I was going to use for a coffee table project last year. I've still not done the coffee table but now have potential use for aforementioned brake discs on a car. Only trouble is I painted them with etch primer and chassis black so they would look nice as part of the table
Do we reckon I can just throw them on the car and a drive 10 yards down the road and the pads will take the paint off? Will that contaminate the pads? Only other option I can think of is to get them skimmed on a lathe to take the paint off the braking surface? These are brand new discs (bought at cost in my previous job) and to replace them will now be rather pricey
